First time serious trial with a timer and remote on the back deck. Had it raised up for so long the lens dewed up :)

5D3, F2.8, 20secs, ISO630, single shot .. son wants to play minecraft on PC so I cant stack right now.

Also, it looks like I have dew and also maybe some trails .. I need to up the ISO so maybe run 15 seconds.

Is that the bulge in my back yard?? I'm looking south if that helps :p

Looks good. The Rokinon lenses perform well wide open. Dew is a killer. My next purchase will be a dew heater.

I'm in Canada. Isn't that weird!

Makes me wonder if I can do this in the city, I have got to get to a dark place :)

This was in preparation for Wednesday night's Perseid show; lets hope we have clear skies.

That is the bulge of the center of our galaxy you captured there.
The bright star right of center in the upper portion of the image is Vega in the constellation Lyra.
20 seconds at 14mm you shouldn't be seeing any trailing. If it only appears near the edges then you are looking at coma, not trailing. I don't see it in the size I'm viewing here.
The teapot asterism of Sagittarius is clearly visible just above the center pair of trees.
Nice shot for the city. Try bumping your ISO to 1600 or maybe even 3200. The 5Dm3 can handle it and the milky way will really pop!

You can definitely go higher on the ISO, and possibly longer as well. I have a 5DII with the Rokinon 14, and I typically shoot ISO 2000 to 3200, F2.8 for 25 or 30 seconds. The ISO 3200 looks a little noisy coming out of the camera, but is easily tamed in Lightroom of Photoshop.

Sony A7RII, 5DII, a bunch of lenses and lighting... Whatever gets the shot... ;-)a
