Using my 7DM2 I'm trying to learn more about shooting in full Manual, with Auto-ISO, and change my EV Comp on the fly. After setting ISO to "A" I try the first method of using the MENU> Expo. comp./AEB then using the quick set wheel to nudge EV+/-. This method keeps my EV comp value and continues in Auto-ISO. But this requires going thru the MENU which in not practical for BIF photography.

The other method of holding down the SET button while rotating the Main Dial while looking thru the view finder works great, but does not stay in Auto-ISO. Instead it continues in manual exposure mode. I then have to re-set the ISO to "A" to get back in Auto-ISO.

I must be missing something simple here. Please help.
Thanks

I solved my problem after reading several blogs at other sites. I just needed to go under Custom Controls and set the Lever or the SET button to EV+/- ... simple as that.

Exactly. In my case I use the Set button.
