I did an engagement photo shoot for some close friends for free as a gift to them (but they keep insisting on paying so there might end up being payment I'm just not asking for it), and I wanted to get some small prints for them because the day after I will deliver the CD to them, they're going out of state to see the woman's family so I thought it would be nice if they are able to show everyone actual photos they can pass around and see instead of just on the computer.
I was thinking small 3.5x5" and it's 30 total photos already fully edited. I order from bay photo, but I'm just confused as to why proof prints are cheaper than regular prints in the same size. I've seen examples of how proof prints are not fully retouched yet, but if I already have the final retouched photos ready could I just print them as proofs anyways?
If the paper quality is the only difference, if you were in my situation would you get them proofs or prints?
Thanks in advanced and sorry if this is a silly question, I've just never dealt with printed proofs before D:
