How Many Times Have You Switched?

Never, but I am a bibrandual; Canon and Oly, even since my 35mm SLR and rangefinder film days.

I switched from Canon to Sony to Nikon.

Only switched once. I use to shoot Minolta 35mm, but they were taking way too long to come out with a DSLR, so I went to a Canon 10D.

Pentax back in the 70's, to Minolta, to Nikon about 1980, then out of it till about 10 years ago and jumped back in to digital from Canon, to Nikon and back to Canon.

I bought a Nikon in 1985, in 1991 I bought a Canon EOS 630, still use Canon cameras today. I have added a few mirrorless cameras but I am keeping my Canon.

Moved from Canon 60D to Olympus OM-D E-M1 because of weight and size. Olympus was/is a great little camera and I got some good shots but at the end of the day I moved back. Found the AF on the Olympus unpredictable and could never select the focus point I needed. The Olympus could never handle moving objects and most of my photos are wildlife or sport. Weight savings were also debatable when you consider the Olympus 40-150 PRO.

Still hanker after a smaller and lighter set-up and maybe I need to add rather than move completely. Canon is my wildlife camera, but it's too big for family and carry around. Considering the Sony a6000 for everyday use. Must have a viewfinder and user selectable focus point and could probably get away with one small zoom. Watch this space!

None. It's too expensive and whatever gains you get are temporary as other brands soon catch up to whatever new bell and whistle you switched for. I get the kind of photos I'm looking for out of Canon. Photography is an art and the camera is only one tool in the process.

This time I invested in the best (1DX) and it is staying with me for a few years at least.

I still have all of them plus some Nikon Riflescopes. I wish Canon does rifle scopes as well.

I have been with Canon 25 years or more. I started with a Rebel film camera and started adding lenses, flashes, and bodies. I have thought about moving to Nikon a time or two, but I am to lazy and cheap to switch.

Never really changed brand from Canon but added Leica now as well. They do different things and I rarely use them at the same time. Leica for travelling light or being inconspicuous, Canon for more specialist stuff like hyper wide, TSE, macro or telephoto which the Leica can't do.

Different horses for different courses

Never really considered changing brands completely. Can't imagine that there is that much difference to warrant selling everything and starting again. I would only consider it if my current system(s) couldn't do something that I really wanted to.

Nikon to Canon 1990, Canon to Nikon 2012 when the D800/800e started showing up. A friend was on her way to Asia with two new D800's, I was in Hawaii and she stopped over to let me try them. I shot with one of them for a couple of days, took the card out and she flew off to her assignment. I got back to the mainland a few weeks later, popped the card in my reader and couldn't believe what I was seeing in the shadows. Ordered one immediately.

In 2003 I sold my trusty n8008s and a small collection of lenses to switch to Canon.

While I have gazed at the greener grass that appears from time to time I have stuck with Canon over the years primarily due to my unwillingness to part with my collection of Canon glass.

I did add a system in 2011 when the PEN E-P3 came out and I have gradually expanded my collection of m4/3 lenses as well.
