They are not macro, but I was quite sure you would be willing to help me out. I know the names of two Butterflies...and these are not them! Any additional comments are more than welcome. Taken in Chelsea, Vermont in August 2015. Thanks in advance.

#1 is an American Lady (2 eyes on the rear wing vs 4 of the Painted Lady). The other one looks like Great Spangled Fritillary.

Thank you both! Certainly gives me some names to look up. I was a bit over whelmed when I started looking at photos.
