Modelshoots : anyone leaves lenses at home to force yourself to use dust collecting lenses? :)

The 70-200 2.8LII may be the best portrait zoom and the 135L best portrait prime, but I tend to keep shooting with the 35 1.4 Art - 50 1.4 Art - 85 1.2L
I don't know what it is, but I have to use that damn zoom + also the 135 f2L, the best lenses are getting dust

I'm too much fixated on having the model with more background in the picture to have more storytelling stuff.
Maybe I should leave the 35/50/85 at home so that i'm forced to use my 70-200 2.8L II and/or 135L

Sounds like you prefer primes. Use what works for you and sell what you don't, unless you are simply collecting lenses.

The longer focal length lenses tend to be more flattering than wider ones when framed similarly. Its not surprising you would be drawn to them.

i use all my lenses but may leave one or two behind depending on what i shoot. i only own lenses that i actually use

I know what you mean.
I would do it this way...

if you love 35 and 50 and 85
bring 1 of them and 1 of the other lenses.

so eg:

35 and 135
50 and 70-200
85 and 70-200 or 135

this would be a safe way to test your theory.
