After going on a trip with a new backpack, I wrote to the manufacturer to point out both it's shortcomings and give cheers where necessary. I figured that this would help them, as they attempted with me in recommending it, with future builds. In the end I had to send the bag back because of far too many flaws. They wrote me back immediately and asked if I'd be willing to test a different bag for them. Who would refuse a free bag? Really. All I have to do is provide them with a review and pics. I'm in no way a professional reviewer or writer at that matter, but would love to stay on this company's good side. Can anyone here provide me with some sort of check list of what I should possibly include in testing and reviewing it? Or can someone here recommend an individual that is the epitome of gear reviewers that I can model?

Thanks

Tony

Just describe the fit, feel, ease of access. Talk about what you like, point out any failures, stick to the facts as much as possible and then sum up your experience.

Check out the gear reviews here on POTN for some examples. For external gear reviewers, plenty to choose from, but check out 1Kind (http://www.1kindphotography.com/ (external link)) and Dan Carr (http://shuttermuse.com/ (external link))

Cheers, Damien
