Is it? I wonder how you can tell?

After seeing this subject last night I did some reading on the phenomenon. From what I saw Paris Hilton got a lot of credit for creating, or at least popularizing the look.

Last time I saw Paris Hilton, it was sitting on an acre of prime land, was built of concrete and didn't have any feet! So, not sure what you are talking about :)

Allow me to resurrect an older thread. Since im venturing out into a new world of photography myself...

I believe that since glamour work is intended to evoke a certain emotional response there are several poses in use...

Pigeon toes and as mentioned the single finger on a pouting mouth should indicate an innocent or naive mentality of the subject.

Likewise sitting on the edge of a bed or couch, leaning over a little would imply a more "experienced" or mature level of sexuality.

Another is a woman standing angled slightly off center of camera, hee hands on her hips and one leg thrust out will convey power or (business) successfulness...

Just my thoughts at 0330...

-im just trying. sometimes i succeed

Spontaneous feminist combustion is an Internet myth.

As for the pose, my wife thinks it is of Japanese origin and goes back to some traditional images of Geishas.

C&C always welcomed...
On my images, of course, and on my words as well--as long as it's constructive :).
