Recently I said I had never gotten a decent photo of a Swallow...Tree or Barn. Then I hit the mother load when I went to photograph my friends old trucks at a nearby farm. There were a total of 6 Fledglings being fed by both parents right next to the trucks. It was really hard to know which baby to focus on because the feedings were so quick. If you blinked...you missed it. I ended up with 400 shots that day!

I know of which you speak. Don't think I'll ever catch a good in- flight shot of a swallow, but when you know where they'll be you at least get a chance. I found some cliff swallow nests and finally caught a feeding moment. But like yours better- blue skies and wing action of the adults is awesome. #7 is my favorite. Well done, Sandy.

Thanks Rog. I was tempted to switch to a longer lens, but with their speed, and not knowing where to aim, I decided to stick with what I was using. The lens on the camera was too long for old Mack trucks, too short for swallows. No pleasing a photographer!

Thanks Bob! I know they are not perfect, but they are better than nothing, which was what I had before that day!
