I was walking through some tall grass when I spotted this Black and Yellow Argiope Spider. Please correct me if I miss identified it. I know there are people here that like spiders! This one appears to be missing a leg. I love the shape on it's back. Kind of looks like a woman with a beehive hairdo, beady yellow eyes, and her hands on her hips!

LOL very nice Sandy! Do you look up and see shapes in clouds? I can actually see what you described! I wonder if his missing leg screwed up his web weaving?

Thanks Ian, and yes I see shapes in the clouds on a daily basis! The web seemed perfect to me. Glad I didn't walk through it...shudder!

Hi sandy, I had a shot of one that looked like an alien with his hands on hips also. Great shot on both.

Thanks Ron. This may be the first time I have photographed a spider!
