Ah, the summer field shoot. Cannot be resisted in New Hampshire, where summer and GREEN is so fleeting. Loving the light and, of course, the models. Ask me anything.

1.) Pretty, but yellow in all that green wasn't quite doing it for me. Time to change . . .

2.) Ah, that's better.

3.)

4.) Sisters

5.) Picking wildflowers is always enchanting.

6.) That face!

7.) Wild buttercup

8.) So natural.

Lovely set and terrific models! I know you love the scenery but I think some could use a slightly tighter crop IMO. Great processing as well.

Thanks so much, everyone! And thanks, Steve. Cropping on these was a tough call because of the light (which I didn't want to crop out.) So, yes, normally I would be in more if not for that. :)

These are excellent. As most of your stuff is.

Kristen, please take this as a compliment, but I see a little bit of Lisa Holloway-ish style here.

Lovely shots (and children)! If you dont, mind my asking, what was your lighting?

I'm always looking to improve my people photography.

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

Thanks so much, everyone. Enjoying this setting as long as I can (before big winter moves in.) :)

Hi Sam -- no problem asking at all! I do not use any lighting except for the sun, but I do look for open areas when backlighting to avoid dark faces.

Great shots. So nice your models are willing to work with you. I understand what the above poster was talking about with the crops but....... You took these shots for you and not for a client to have pics of their kids. These are art, the light was amazing. So the kids are a smaller part of the image and less of the subject but I think that is ok.

Thank you, everyone! K Soze, the environment was definitely a feature in the portraits, but the subjects are the girls. I think they work with the rule of thirds, but I understand why others might crop in. It can be a touchy balance! :)
