Any photo/general tips for travel to Quito/Cuenca Ecuador? No immediate plans to go there now, just planning ahead. If I go I would most likely have no choice but to be there during their rainy season (November/December).
I have read that there are restrictions regarding the amount of electronic devices you are permitted to enter the country with (I think only two items were permitted such as a cell phone and a tablet). Will my camera count as a third electronic device? Do they limit the amount of photo equipment one can take (bodies/lenses/flash, etc.)?
Many online travel sites describe Ecuador as a beautiful, inexpensive place to travel. I don't know if there is any truth to that, or if it just typical tourist-luring hype.
Any photo-taking etiquette suggestions? I don't plan to visit the Galapagos this time around, only Quito/Cuenca and (time permitting) cultural sites/volcanes between both cities.
For the sake of traveling light I would be taking a small DSLR (Canon T31) with three small kit lenses, maybe an extra point & shoot as a back up.
Also, any suggestions on getting from Quito to Cuenca? I would only have 5 days for the entire trip.
