Here's an H-alpha view of a fila-prom and a white light view of that monstrous sunspot 2403. A filament on the sun's disk when you're looking down on it appears as a dark colored line. When it reaches the limb of the sun you're seeing it edge on and it's called a prominence or flare. Here I was able to capture the filament as it reached the limb so you see the dark line and the prominence. I'm calling it a fila-prom.
