Seems like most people are ok with it. I just find it mildly offensive. Keep it if you like.

I love all of the fun phrases that Pekka has incorporated into the POTN experience.
Tim, it may be that light-hearted, fun, not-too-serious people love this stuff, while folks who take everything seriously all the time would take offense. Which type of guy are you?

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

Your post comes across as mildly insulting as well.

...

I fail to see the offensive part in those. Even "spelling errors, too" is not an insult - POTN humor if nothing else.

....

Given that it is miost ften aimed at me,. for some totally un known reason,. I've never seen any of the other more complimentary ones. :( :)

The phrases you can get (as seen in javascript sources) are:

Saving your
"masterpiece",
"magnificent opus",
"incredible work",
"great input",
"thoughtful words",
"symphony of grammar",
"amazing use of synonyms",

"humbling mastery of grammar",
"paramount pile of paragraphs",
"unique perspective",
"superb sentences",
"clever commentary",
"magnificent manuscript",

"exhilariting phrases"

I fail to see the offensive part in those. Even "spelling errors, too" is not an insult - POTN humor if nothing else.

You apparently have chosen not to use any of theses...

  • "strikingly mediocre"
  • "of questionable technical or artistic merit"
  • "<heavy sigh>"

Merely providing some increased contextual contrast for Tim, so Pekka's quips are not viewed in a negative light!
