Interesting concept- maybe Canon plans to release the M3 on this side of the pond after all.

That'd be a good little toy if they built it (and a body with a great sensor to use it with)

An interesting twist- this patent gets published a day before Canon announces the M3 will be sold worldwide.

Sounds like someone in the board room looked at Sony and Fuji mirrorless sales numbers, and decided it was time to try and get some of their money back.

to do that they'll need to put a sensor in the camera to compete with Sony and Fuji. Not enough to rely on their great lens lineup
