This is as close as I could get by looking on the web. Did I get them right?

It's about 1-1/8" long & I think this is a Fall Webworm Moth Caterpillar. It was a little more beige than it is in this image.
But it seems close to a Walnut Moth Caterpillar or a Milkweed Tussock Moth Caterpillar?

The lens is actually a 50 year old 105mm f/2.5 Nikkor with a 1" extension tube.

For insect IDs, bugguide.net is a good place to ask. I'm not familiar with caterpillars in your area.

Thanks. I did go there & also found this, (external link) but sometimes there are very subtle differences that the trained eye can spot.

Then there's the problem of what do you search under? For instance, do I look for this under "Eggs", "poo", or "Poop"? ; )

Those are caterpillar poop. These are moth eggs (Sabulodes aegrotata) about halfway between freshly deposited on a blackberry leaf and ready to hatch.

They start out white and darken to bronze as the larvae develop. Other species' eggs look different. Here are Large Yellow Underwing larvae and the eggs they're hatching from.

I bet the folks in the Macro forum have more egg pictures.

Again, thanks for the clarification.

I bet the folks in the Macro forum have more egg pictures.

Maybe I should have asked there, but those guys are posting way larger magnifications than I have here, & with the frog, I thought Wildlife was a better fit.

Sure, Wildlife is the place to post. I don't need to tell a mod that. I meant that Macro may already have photos that illustrate the variety of insect eggs.
