1Ds Mark II battery stucked

I was shooting wedding this weekend and my worst nightmare became reality - my battery started to have some issues with locking mechanism and did not locked - so i pushed it really hard and it locked, so i could use my camera during this event.
But now, releasing mechanism is stucked and it is not possible to pull it out. My camera works normally, but it is not possible to change batteries... Did anyone experience this problem? What to do in this case? (I probably go to Canon service center on monday, but i would like to avoid it. )

only thing I can really suggest is push the battery in really hard while you turn the knob to release. The Knob is not directly locked to the shaft on my 3rd party battery so you may need to assist the locking cam in the back with some clearance if the lock bracket on the camera itself is bent. I've just taken the serial plate off the bottom of my 1D2 to see if it's possible to release that way (the screws hold the locking bracket in place also) and the news is not good, as you need to push the locking bracket upwards before it slides out (and of course there's a battery stopping that happening in your case)

I have seen the knob on a 3rd party 1D3 battery come off altogether and it would expose the metal shaft that you could get a fine pair of fliers onto so maybe the 1D2 mechanism is similar. If you were willing to sacrifice the battery then it might be worth a try.

Thank you for your answer! I definitely give it a try and iam even willing to sacrifice a battery, i just hope my camera itself is not broken.

Afterall, i took my camera and went to Canon service center - it was necessary to remove back plate and they fixed my camera no charge. Very happy!

Just remember when in doubt take it to Canon...
