It's raining and chilly outside so I'm going thru some old images...thinking that I can put this with
that and do this and that often enough. A lot of reprocessing and ya get this...

That is extraodinarily beautiful, Chauncey!
Of course, it looks best on a computer monitor, but, if printed, I think it would also look really good on metallic paper.
Any way of creating this (or something very similar) in camera, or is it pretty much a computer creation?

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

Jeez Tom...that is an astonishing compliment...I'm virtually speechless.
I"ve tried putting Saran Wrap over the lens...doesn't work that well.
This image is a montage of three images...water at sunset/adjacent sky at the same sunset/an old foamy water image...
then motion blur applied with a twirl filter and liquefy added followed with various adjustment layers.

FWIW...I stumbled upon this lady https://1x.com/member/ursula (external link) ...really like her stuff.

Well, the piece deserves all the praise I can give! It is truly beautiful. One of the coolest abstract photos I have seen in a long, long time.

So, I suppose then that this is most definitely something that needs to be created on the computer. It is a look I absolutely love, and I have tried and tried and tried to create photos that have this look.......but my efforts have always come up far short of my vision. Of course, I only know how to use a camera, and have virtually no graphic design / computer ability. I would love to be able to capture this type of look straight out of the camera, but as yet have not even come close. I'm not sure how the saran wrap would work, but maybe it's worth a try!

Wow - great stuff she has created! I love it!
I especially love this piece of hers, entitled "Mountain Light":
