Does anyone know of a polarizer setup for the new 11-24 that's available yet? Yes, I know some people are going to say you don't want to polarize at 11mm, but I for one want to and it's almost a necessity here in HI :)

I don't think there's one specific for it at this time.

But, you can look into really large plate filters (100mm) and rig something up.

Very best,

The 11-24 has a bracket on the back of the lens for ND or color gels. Because of the size of the front of the lens, I'm doubtful that there will be a practical solution for a circular polarizer on the lens. There are a few brands that try to make adapters for large filters going over ultra-wide lenses, but the 11-24 has quite a bulbous front lens/built in hood. Even if you found a way to attach a large CPL to the front, I'm thinking you'll still struggle with vignetting.

Have you forgotten all that was said about this issue (specifically for you) at the thread https://photography-on-the.net …showthread.php?p=17626197.

You might also check the Fotodiox products at http://www.bhphotovideo.com …0&Ntt=Fotodiox+Wonderpana (external link). Fotodiox makes specialty adapters for filters on unusual lenses. Nothing is shown for the 11-24 but perhaps you can do some further research and see if some of the other lens adapters might work.

Yep, that was in July.....figured I'd check if anyone has found anything since then because this lens is so new and just getting into people's hands

Is the hood or front element of this lens same size of the front element or the hood of Samyang/Rokinon 14mm?

Because of the shape, it's pretty aparent there won't be a good option for a CPL. This and starting more threads on the 5DS, D810, or A7IIR...make up your mind already!;)

I didn't mean to sound spiteful....only that by now I'd hope you'd start narrowing down to at least brand:)

11mm isn't 14mm obviously so who knows if this would work...

11 if quite a bit wider, along with the much wider front element, guessing it would need a 200mm cpl.

The rok 14 is smaller and less wide, yet still needs 160mm

Look how ridiculous the 11-24 is

Haida makes some special holders. I have 100mm but for 17-40 and really like it. Did not find it on Haida website, but perhaps this will work from the second link

lee announced on their FB page, that they've made an adapter for their SW150 filters
https://www.facebook.com …262345/?type=1&permPage=1 (external link)

and it's now listed on their website:

http://www.leefilters.com/index.php/camera/system-sw150 (external link)

it's s shame that you can't use it at 11mm without vignette though...
