I can't get the X-Rite ColorChecker Passport to work with files created by the α7rII. Here is what ColorChecker support says:

"The Sony camera you are using is likely creating a RAW file larger than 40 mb, which is larger than our Passport software can work with.

If you have the ability to shoot a smaller size RAW file with this camera, then you can shoot the ColorChecker target as that smaller RAW file, and then create a DNG profile that could be used with any file size from that Sony camera.

Anytime the file size exceeds 30mb, the current version of Passport software will experience difficulty in saving a profile. We have notified the product manager of this matter, but we do not have any ETA on when a new version of Passport software might be available."

Tried changing quality to standard and the camera produces JPEG files. Any ideas?

Shooting 18mp raw in APS-c mode works well with X-rite ColorChecker Passport.

Download the Adobe Profile Editor from their website.
It does not have the file size limitation.
I used it to make profiles for my A7RII

Shooting in crop mode also worked.
