The red ring on my 24-105mm L is loose, and I'm afraid of losing it. I know it makes not much difference, but I paid a lot for the lens, and I want that red ring on it.

What is the best way for me to secure it? I'm not the handiest guy, and don't want to screw anything up. Superglue?

Canon 6D & 7D. Panasonic GX85 and a number of ever changing lenses.

Unfortunately I no longer have my 24-105 but I did have a similar problem with my 17-40. Check that the ring in front of your Red Ring is tight (the black ring with Canon Zoom lens EF 24-105 etc written on it) as I believe it is screwed in place and may have slackened. On the 17-40 this ring is behind the Red Ring and screwed in place so it may well be similar on your lens.
Good luck!

Life is for living, cameras are to capture it (one day I will learn how!).
