It’s been quite a while since my last post. Anyway, let me get down to the quick and concentrate on what brings us together in this forum and that’s principally our love of macro photography and nature. Indeed, it’s been the magic moments of finding myself lost in nature amongst insects as my main companions that have helped to keep me relatively sane. I have a backlog to get through so I better shut up and start posting again.

This particular specimen was captured stalking on the house wall. Jumping Spiders have lightening fast reactions and at the blink of an eye can jump out of sight. They will even jump at their own reflection on the camera lens! However, in this instance he/she was too preoccupied with its prey to indulge in such acrobatic antics.

A few more Jumping Spider captures, this time without prey.
