I am about to pull the trigger and get the sigma 150-600c to use with my 7D Mark II and was hopping to see some more shots at 600mm using the 7D Mark II and any comments using that combination .
Thanks Judd S.

-dave-m- Senior Member More info | Sep 13, 2015 17:52 | #6 I switched from 7D + EF 300 f/4L + EF 1.4x II to 7D MkII + 150-600C earlier this year. I haven't been able to use it as much as I would like, it takes practice to get used to trying to track subjects @ 600mm. So far I have been mostly happy with this setup. I haven't taken the time to do Micro Focus Adjustments yet(I do have the dock and have updated firmware and changed some other settings) but I do feel I will get more consistent results after MFA(TBH I consider the dock a must have for Sigma lenses that support it). 5D MkII Gripped | 7D MkII Gripped | 200 f/2.8L | 17-40 f/4L | Σ 24-105 OS f/4 Art | Σ 50 f/1.4 Art | Σ 150-600 OS f/5-6.3 C | 430EX II

Sep 20, 2015 21:50 | #8 Thanks for all the shots. So I bit the bullet and bought the Sport instead and it should be here very soon. After seeing all the sots I'm pumped and can't wait to start using it.

After seeing all the sots I'm pumped and can't wait to start using it. Congratulations! I'm sure you will enjoy the Sport. Since you were looking at the C version, I would like to know what changed your mind, especially after seeing the wonderful photos here taken with the C. 7D Mark II, 50D, 17-55 2.8 IS, 100-400L IS, 10-22, Sigma 150-600 C, Sigma 150 2.8 Macro, EF-S 60MM f2.8 Macro, EF-S 18-55 IS, 28-135 IS, EF-S 55-250 IS STM, 580 EX II, Yongnuo YN-24EX, JasonC007 Diffuser Kit, Gitzo GT2531EX, ARCA-SWISS Z1, RRS B2 AS II clamp, Kirk L-bracket for 7DII, Kirk L-bracket for 50D

Sep 21, 2015 14:40 | #11 I recently had the opportunity to try the Sigma 150-600 Sports. I rather liked it! Image hosted by forum (749223) © johnf3f [SHARE LINK] THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. (4 edits in all) | Sep 22, 2015 03:39 | #12 From everything I have seen there is very little between the Sport and Contemporary as far as IQ goes. The Sport has better whether sealing and build quality (I just carry a cheap waterproof lens cover in case of rain with my 'C' lol) and a slightly shorter MFD. They are both f6.3 at the long end. I changed my mind due to the size of the focus ring and in the long run the weather sealing/dust sealing. I have been finding my self over riding auto focus quite often lately with my 100-400 when I'm shooting in the trees and thought the larger size focus ring may be a plus. Seeing I live in MN. and shoot in all kinds of weather, the weather sealing may be worth it. I am hoping to keep the lens for many years so the extra cost for the weather sealing should pay off....I hope

Sep 23, 2015 21:55 | #14 Well I got the Sport yesterday evening and managed to get it out briefly this afternoon. It was quite overcast but managed this Monarch at 600mm handheld. What a pig but worth it. Looking forward to some good light to put it through its paces.I bought the dock but feel I should spend some time shooting with it before I make any changes to its function unless there is some known function change that has been a common change among all you Sigma 150-600mm users.
