Okay, so, you have a lot of vampires where you are then, stetzam?

 :p

I'm sorry, I couldn't resist. But the images are intriguing. What's the story? Or did you put them there for the shots?

Ha ha! it's just the entrance of an Italian restaurant near my house

Very nice work Lumoava! I also like the cheap lens experiments from Tim and Benitoite, I do them myself too!

Pete's industrial still life is also interesting!

Lens still life:

Domiplan 50mm/2.8 zebra, Chinon 55mm/1.7 and the famous Trioplan 100mm/2.8
Taken with a Trioplan 50mm/2.9 from an old Altix Nb camera handheld in front of the EOS

Some great last additions to the thread, Pete and stetzam!

Too bad that the Trioplan 100/2.8 is so expensive, I would love to have one.

I had paid only 70 euros for an EXA camera and this lens in Vienna's flea market! Lucky me I suppose...

So many great posts for still life. :-D

I had a hard time with this one and never came up with a great idea, but I do have two shots I can post.

Very sweet and carefully arranged. I can see these as greeting cards.

Still Life with Holga lens...

I don't know what a Holga is, but it gave you a peaceful, contemplative scene.

Those are a switch from sweet and charming; interesting in a different way.

No problem. Your shots are as great ideas as I could wish for!

Proof that a still life doesn't require an exotic subject.

My Holga is a cheap plastic lens glued to a Canon lens cap for the "EF" mount. I bought it at a photo flea market down in Marin for $3. (It wasn't centered correctly. )

It is a funky counterculture cult thing with uneven vignetting, blur, distortion, and chromatic aberration.

They sell new ones on eBay (external link) for around $14.

Holga cameras also make for some very nice pin hole cameras. Simply because of their price and simplicity

You paid for those features? I get them free with my G15!

Hello again everyone! I think I am finally back. I had my surgery and have pretty much recuperated and have been getting caught up at work. I still read through the posts and have been keeping up with the threads, but I haven't gotten the camera out much until recently. So many great and creative ideas lately! The still life shots have been great. You all still inspire me!

I got a new (to me) 7D MKII yesterday. Canon had a good deal on a refurbished over Labor Day so I got one. I didn't get out to get a live duck, but I did get a still life duck for this thread and the obligatory duck shot for new gear, so here's my contribution for the theme.

Now that (hopefully) my health issues this year are behind me, I'm getting back in the groove and getting my photo mojo back!!

I may be fascinated with volcanoes, but the name's Lisa.
