Over the last year I have transitioned from a long time DSLR user to a smaller kit. One reason is I have had a rx100 mk I for a few years and have been amazed of the image quality, I am shooting jpegs. Kids have grown and high school/college sports, they are done.

I recently picked up a rx10, for Things like I did yesterday, going to Fenway.

Anyway, I have two pictures below(shot different day and locations) both shot on auto(handed someone my camera). The rx100 looks good, the rx10 looks soft? Top photo is the rx100, if you zoom in you can see what I mean. I know they are two different environments, and I'm not a zoom in pixel peep, but I was surprised.
Rx100 , ISO 125, f/5, 1/100
Rx10 , ISO 125, f/4, 1/160

Any help would be appreciated.

I just picked up an rx10 (actually waiting for delivery) and found this post curious. So to hopefully save me some pain, what did you discover about your soft photos?
thanks for your help.

I have the RX10 III and use it as my travel camera to keep the weight down and not have to change lenses while enjoying the 24-600mm.

The images don't look soft to me at all.
Very versatile camera and image quality is close to my 7D Mark II.
Low light performance is good but not great.

I just picked up a Sony RX100 V for something pocketable but haven't shot with it much yet so cannot comment there.
