Hi, this is the first time I have ever done tracking. I have a street light about 10 metres from where my telescope is set up. I managed to take a photo of the star called Vega in the Lyra constellation.

This is a stack of 25 second exposures put together with DeepSkyStacker. My 350D was attached to a Skywatcher 150P telescope. There is a motor that does track.

Please let me know what you think. I have finally solved my issue with focussing I hope.

Congrats. Focus looks good, maybe not perfect, but pretty good.
Now point that baby at something more interesting like M20 & M8 or later in the evening M31.

Interesting. Vega turned out blue for me. I think it's a cool subject (from the movie Contact). Not much to see though. Unless you add Deneb and Altair. Then you have the Summer Triangle triptych. :)

I'm in Canada. Isn't that weird!

I have been away and busy with university. I did however, manage to have a bit more time with trying to take photos. I think I have improved a bit since. Also, I have been waiting for the sky to clear and for me to be a bit more awake. :)

So, here is a better photo of Vega

This is a photo I took yesterday very early morning from 20 stacks at 30 seconds and ISO 1600 on my Canon EOS 350D attached to a Skywatcher 150P. I have also attached a photo direct from the camera so you can see how much light pollution there is.

The original image from the camera

I noticed that the light pollution didn't seem to appear much in the stacks. I did also take darks, however, no flats as I get a bit confused by how to take them.
