I didn't realize how many AA batteries i accumalated in the past 2 days. I have a 580ex ii, 540ez, and a vivitar 285. A few days ago i purchased 3 pocketwizard plus ii and realized i needed more batteries. so i purchased 16 (two 8-packs) new AA batteries and find myself starting to drown in AA batteries. I now have about 28 and i'm not even sure if that's enough for backup "just in case."

how many AA batteries do you currently have? do you think it's enough?

I use amazon basics rechargables (similar to the white eneloops):

http://www.amazon.com …rd_r=03EFY51E4ZPFYRGWKQ0K (external link)

And one of these to charge them:

http://www.amazon.com …words=8+bay+smart+charger (external link)

I have 3 flashes, and YN-603 triggers, so I have a variety of AA and AAA sizes. I keep them in a plastic box that I think was originally a pencil case, and in storage sleeves like these:

http://www.amazon.com …ST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_ (external link)

Positive terminal up are charged, positive terminal down are depleted.

I think I have 24 AA and 12 AAA currently. So with three flashes and four triggers, I have spare sets for two of them to be replaced at any time.

The low discharge nimh batteries hold their charge well when in storage, recycle your flash faster, and pay for themselves after two charges. Well worth it in my opinion.

Costco carries the big 48 pack. That's the best place to buy them. The only battery worse than the AA is the 9 volt - I hate those.

I don't think I have any AA batteries. I do have 4 of the bigger ones - "D"? They're for my flashlight that I use camping. I don't really have or use anything else that uses batteries, except for the camera batteries in my DSLRs.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".
