Another vote for Peak Design's slide.
I've been using it with my 60D and 100-400L at my daughter's softball tournaments and it's performed well.
Very comfortable and the rig stays snug at the small of my back while walking around.

I can highly recommend OpTech strap, which are designed to be cushioned and with a controlled amount of stretch to alleviate the sense of weight.

On my camera body I have the Optech Super Classic. On my 'light kit' camera bag I have an Optech SOS strap.

My 'light kit' is 9lb 5oz bag full, (of which 3 lb. 13 oz. camera+lens might come out and hang from its own strap)
