Everyone has their own taste in what they like, but just because you don't like his image doesn't make it a terrible image.

It is, in my opinion! I am entitled to one I assume?

Curious as to what a b&w version might look like.

Whether your entitled or not I can't say. Merely saying that you having the "opinion" that its terrible doesn't make it so.

No real point in continuing that argument, Calsar. He won't get the point; let it go.

Part of me likes this one, while part of me doesn't. It's either that there's too much color in the smoke and the dress with a lack of color elsewhere, or it may be that the tree stumps and roots are all brownish and they don't feel like they go with the blue dress/purple smoke.

I like the concept of the photo, but I find myself looking at this image wondering if it would be a more appealing with her in a green or red dress with a different color smoke?

Constructive criticism is always appreciated.

And just saying you have the opinion that it isn't terrible doesn't make it so.

To me it is an interesting image, but I'm not fond of it either. I think the smoke is out of place - looks more witch than princess.

The part in bold is the kind of stuff missing from the other C&C which would have made it actual C&C.

It is interesting, it is conceptual, personally I like it.

Thanks for sharing this one!

BTW, how long did it take to stitch together and process ? Sounds like a lot of work ? I'm assuming you used Photoshop?

Pretty cool. I just don't think purple goes well with her being a princess. Purple makes me think "evil" and reminds me of Maleficent. Pink or yellow smoke would have suited her better IMO. Still a fun photo though!

if you are going to give CC you should say what it is you do not like about the picture and offer what you feel would make it better, or politely say it isn't your style. Do not just troll and say "it's terrible" because not only is it a subjective opinion the wording you chose is quite rude.

It wasn't rude, it was his/her opinion. "I think it's terrible" is an opinion. Whether it comes off rude or not depends on the recipient receiving the comment. If I had posted a picture and somebody said that, I would simply disregard it. Just like statistical analysis, there will be outliers for opinion and lack of tact, and you throw those out of the statistical pool when doing your final assessment.

Again, they didn't say the image was terrible. They said "they thought it was terrible", ie an opinion of their own choosing. Just because I think the picture is very cool, also doesn't make it cool. It is just my opinion.

Let's not take everything out of context or take it so seriously, just move on. ;)

The only thing I would have thought to add to the scene would have been some additional hidden lighting on the subject to create a glow around them in the purple haze. However that might not be in accordance to the mood being set by the participants.

I need to do more Brenzier shooting, it is a very cool technique, and produces a unique result. Not sure how you worked with that while the haze continually shifted though?

The stitch was about 30 min. It was all 16bit full res TIFF files. It wasn't too bad, just took a lot of time. A combo of LR and PS.

So did you get the shots around your GF first, then as you centered in on her, run the haze? I am trying to figure out how you stitched that all together while the haze shifted and grew as you rattled off shots? I know that you can go very quickly to get all the shots with lots of redundancy, but I have always had stitched artifacts where things didn't match up well.

This was the last one I did as a test, and didn't have to worry much about the surroundings changing.
