[SIZE=2]The minister of finance, aka Da Wife, just finished some DIY high light kit thingy to her hair, wanted a picture to record her great accomplishment, I gladly complied, since she pays the bills of my photo gears:) .

There I went: back the minivan out of the garage, threw my speedlites into couple of home made difussers, pulled up couple of reflectors, our 'garage glamour' was in session. Look at those nice shoos...wait, those are my slippers:o

And after couple hours of hopeless attemps to glamourize her in PS, finally came up one that she liked. Hey, at least I capture the 'high light' part well..heheh.

[SIZE=2]Goose in the movie Top Guns said "Hey man, I could've been a great photographer!" If she approves more funding for some real studio lighting, I could be one too:cry: .

Nice shot, I think perhaps you should have lost the plastic toy in the basket and the snowman on her top. Also you should have took the band off her when she let her hair down, seems a shame to have gone to all that trouble and then left all those distractions in there.

P.S. Nice wife though, lucky man.

I guess we could nick-pick the details of this (and any other image). Those things already mentioned are relevant and do distract from the image (my opinion). The lighting, however, is right on the money. Good job. Thank you for showing the “behind the scenes shot. What is the light you are using for the hair light—it looks homemade?

Great shot and the lighting is superb. I agree about the distracting elements.
