I can't believe I took 30 years to visit this place. This photo was taken from Fotu La (external link) (pass) at Ladakh, India (external link).

I love it! Very three-dimensional, and gives a great impression of the size and drama of the place which is very close to my heart - I spent a couple of months on a bicycle there in 2008. Diary here, if you're interested:

That was a nice read. Doing Ladakh on a bicycle is a different beast altogether. Quite inspirational!
Thank you for refreshing my memory of the wonderful trip. Now I have a first hand contact to speak to if and when I plan a bike ride in the Himalayas.
