Hello,
Is there anyone in the Halifax/Dartmouth area that uses PSP? My computer skills are very rudimentary at best and I am being generous with that assessment. I was hoping to be able to watch how they prepped an image, their workflow as well as ask questions. If you use PSP or know of someone who does please let me know, it would very much appreciated. Thank you.

I started with PSP back when there weren't any tutorials that I was aware of.
Start in Edit mode by going under Adjust and adjusting the Color Balance. Try the different temperatures so you can see the effect. If you are opening RAW files, this is where you will start automatically. Once WB is down, you can adjust the exposure with some accuracy. After that, work on contrast and sharpening. When you want to see how you are doing, click on the One Step Photo Fix button and see who is better, you or the software. It took me awhile to beat the software. Once you are here, other things will begin to make sense, including tutorials. Good luck.

Hey, come out to California and visit San Francisco, and I am only 20 minutes from the airport, and i'd be happy to spend some time with you to show use of PSP. Admittedly I don't not use all the tools, but I know the general workflow to process/edit photo. I really is easy, I think if you merely found a book on Adobe Elements and read it for overall workflow, and how some of the editing tools work, you should be able to pick up PSP operation. I had free copies of Photoshop LE (limited edition) and started with it, before migrating to PSP, and here I am now having set Photoshop LE aside almost a decade ago!

Glad to be able to help out a Nova Scotian, you guys (and other Canadians) went far above and beyond to help many US travelers stranded just after the World Trade Center was taken down.

There are paperbacks published about PSP, too. I have two, one for PSP 9 and the other for PSP 10. Use PSP 16 now, as I have no reason to always have the latest version.
