I'm not into video, my son is interested in the new Panasonic Lumix G DMC-GH4 for video and a traveling camera for stills. What is your advice.

He has a Canon 40D now, and needs an upgrade with video capibilities

Heya,

The GH4 is the camera I'd get if I wanted a travel camera that "does it all."

Sure, it's a M43's. But it's ISO performance is quite good despite the small sensor size. It does 4k. It does really good in every category frankly. It's often attached to spotting scopes and used as super telephoto. And it's weather sealed.
