Tiziano,

I've had my 20D for nearly a year now and have only had to blow mine clean a couple of times so far.
Enjoy your new lenses :-)

Hello guys with M42s, do you find that the M42 lenses have a slightly different color to them than the Canon lenses? It seems to me that the M42 colors are much more natural and there is something about them...the blur or fuzz and such. Maybe I have no idea what i am talking about. haha.

Looks like someone got bit by the MF bug! Welcome to the club :) That CZJ Sonnar 200mm certainly looks good...

I don't break them outvery often, but when I do, I'm always impressed with the image quality that the old Takumar's give me (I have a 50 and a 28 ). As far as sharpness and contrast they rival my L's, but the images have a cool vintage feel.

Here's a gallery from a trip to San Francisco last year armed only with a 300D and a couple of vintage M42 lenses: http://www.pbase.com …wexlerphoto/sf_experiment (external link)

Mrr tiziano, you ahve three very fine lenses there (I dunno the Pentacon). I have them and can vouch for them all. Of course, depends on condition. They could be rough. Mine are all minty fresh so no problems. The 135mm is about as sweet a piece of glass as you will ever own.

Enjoy ... and these lenses are appreciating in value all the time now (at least the good stuff is!) You can't lose. Try the Helios-44 58mm 2.0. Expect to pay £5 or so  It's a great lens! Also, buy an adaptor for each and also a EOS end cap. Makes life so much easier.

Do you get these on ebay?

From what I have read about some of these lens, some puple/magenta tint to pictures taken with it, probably caused by internal reflections, while other have a slightly change in color with years, due to radioactive decay....

beautiful pictures, I expecially love the smSFXPeriment 080.jpg.
If I was able to shot pics like yours, the purchase I have done would be a great deal.... but it's not just the lens... I guess....:o

Yes sir ... and sometimes there are a few for sale at Buze's forum (which is excellent). Worth holding out for the really nice ones and paying a bit extra for them. There is plenty of junk around.

Yes, I ordered everything on ebay. I haven't received anything yet, but I have never had bad experiences with ebay so far. The trick is to buy from vendors who sell a lot, and with a very high feedback score.

Excellent work sir ... shows the power of great composition and good exposure at least as much as a decent bag of lenses. That's exactly where the priority needs to be in photography IMHO.

I have one question: Can use a 1.3 kg lens on my 20D or EOS 3 without a tripod under the lens, or will I break the camera?
