This little guy is about 1/2" long. I've never seen one this small before, but I think it's a immature Praying Mantis. (Wrong!)
Lens was a 105mm Nikkor + a 1" extension tube.

Nuts! I think you're right. If I'd known that I would have squashed him since they assassinated my Monarch Caterpillar here: Death in the afternoon.
