Looking for a new editing laptop, my budget is $1,000 and needs to be a 15" or smaller. I'll use a remote screen typically, but need a good upgrade. Would like an SSD and PC. Any suggestions?

These are essentially refurbished or older but new stock. Like Canon cameras the refurbished Dell's that I've purchased are pristine, to the point I can't tell them from new.

If you want something rugged and reliable, consider the Lenovo ThinkPad line.

Custom built, direct from the factory in 14 days. $1k is a tight budget but check out their website and see what you can put together. I'm partial to the T series, but there are other options.
