I have not had the chance to get out and shoot motorsports much in the last couple years...but a local pro and the official shooter for North Georgia Speedway invited me out to shoot with him this past weekend. What a different scene than I am used to, and much different shooting conditions...the places to shoot the cars from are limited and a couple are not for the faint of heart. I had a good time, and came away with a few images I am happy with...
First off...some of the people, its was a real family environment, and lots of people, that were all there to have a good time and see some cars go fast.
A father passing on the skills needed through a little sweat equity.
"The Kid"..he was one of the drivers and did a fine job. IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/yAw9LH
A typical picture all over the place..parents spending the time with the kids, no devices, no tv...just spending time together...it was great.IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/yycFzC
Some of the racing action...these cars were rough, and the track was too, it made getting good shots tough on me...being out of practice didn't help.IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/yjcwu1
The red car is "The Kid".IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/yycFL9
he even went by "The Kid"...this corner was tough, the cars come through so fast, and such chaos..with dirt flying back at you...IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/yAPxXt
Single car qualifying, they really got to let it all hang out for that part.IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/yyv48J
Anyway, thanks for looking...I hope I get a chance to go back and try again some day...
