Dirt Track Racing at North Georgia Speedway

I have not had the chance to get out and shoot motorsports much in the last couple years...but a local pro and the official shooter for North Georgia Speedway invited me out to shoot with him this past weekend. What a different scene than I am used to, and much different shooting conditions...the places to shoot the cars from are limited and a couple are not for the faint of heart. I had a good time, and came away with a few images I am happy with...

First off...some of the people, its was a real family environment, and lots of people, that were all there to have a good time and see some cars go fast.

You got some good images in tight conditions. It's not like shooting at turn 5 at RA, is it? ; D

Thanks! HA! Tight is one word for it...standing on top of an old pit wall ladder with barely enough room for your feet...way over the tops of the cars...trying to pan with them.....no photo holes in the fences...tight is a kind word for it! It was nothing like I have ever shot before...like shooting from inside an airplane bathroom... Makes me long for the open space of road courses!
