Every year in September Northern Flickers start showing up in high numbers. I think they're one of the cooler looking woodpeckers. Although I have maybe better and closer shots of these birds, I'm also a sucker for old dead trees and I don't typically get a shot of one with a "clean" background. I've also never before got a photo of 2 in one shot.
