Which land/nightscape prime lee filter frendly? -- Canon Lenses in photography-on-the.net forums

I am landscape person well served by the 16-35 f/4 L + lee filter system with GNDs, NDs and square polarizer. This combination is fully satisfactory for the purpose however I wish to try some nighscapes (night landscapes with starts and some foreground, not interested in auroras/star trails/astro) and I feel f/4 plus coma control do not make this lens the best tool.
Therefore I am looking into a fast WA prime for Canon mount (<24mm and 2.8 or less) with high coma control wide open and I wish to have the possibility to use it with the lee filter kit.
Any thoughts?

It's hard to look past the Zeiss 21/2.8 within your specifications....superb lens all round.

If you don't mind a manual aperture then a Contax mount Zeiss 21/2.8 Biogon would be typically half the price of the Canon mount 21/2.8 Distagon (although you'll need an adapter to mount it).
