Hello:

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to disable the electronic manual focus with the 85 1.2 ii attached to a 6D?
I'm told the 5D3 can switch this function off in a menu setting whereby the camera will still AF but turning the focus ring does nothing.

My thanks in advance.

My 7DM2 has it, In the AF menu tab set electronic focus to off.

I dont have the 85mm 1.2L but on my STM lenses it disables the manual focus ring, also has options to tweak it.

That's what I'm looking for.
I can't find it in the 6D menu so I assume it's not an available option.

Thanks.

This feature is on the 5d3 and 7d2 (also on 5ds, 5dsr with additional "enable after one-shot" option), but not available on the 6D with the current firmware.

quick solution: duct tape the focus ring on the lens so it no longer move, you can enable it instantly by removing the tape. :)
