MORE THAN 5 MONTHS TO REPAIR AN MPE65!!! Canon Camera (Malaysia)

Sent in: Feb 25, 2015
Quotation: Mar 10, 2015
Ready for collection: Aug 13, 2015

The only comfort was that it didn't cost a bomb. Quoted: RM376. Actual: RM398.55 (GST).

Old lens, warranty expired long ago.

Error 01 when the magnification was at slightly more than 1:1. At 1:1, it's okay. Slightly higher than 1:1 all the way until about 2:1, err 01. Beyond 2:1 to 5:1, no problem.

How much did the lens cost?

In the Philippines (which is near Malaysia) it took 4 months for my 100-400 L around 3 years ago

Tamron Malaysia has excellent turn-around time. You'd normally get your quotation the next day, and get your lens back within a week, mostly within 3 or 4 days.
