Enjoyed some time in Banff National Park a few weeks ago. Absolutely amazing place. Hope you enjoy the images and C&C always welcome.

1) Mountains, still lake, morning mist and a train. Seriously Wow.

IMAGE: https://farm1.staticflickr.com/666/21193775919_6e5c4612e7_c.jpg

2) I think this is the #2 most photographed location in Canada(?) Moraine Lake.
IMAGE: https://farm1.staticflickr.com/642/21193834489_8dbb21c490_b.jpg

3) Mt. Rundle. Banff sits on the other side.
IMAGE: https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5808/21369879212_3fcdc44c5d_c.jpg

4) Triangles! Saw the geometry in the land and grabbed a photo. Personally very happy with this image.
IMAGE: https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5794/21389079961_a6254e0baa_b.jpg

5) Bow Lake, I think.
IMAGE: https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5806/20758040314_86c8961668_c.jpg

6) Out the front car window. It's even a paradise to view while you're driving.
IMAGE: https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5646/20759584793_8818003707_b.jpg

7) I think the most original image I took on the trip, and very happy to have a shot that wasn't taken by every. single. person.
IMAGE: https://farm1.staticflickr.com/693/21389023951_b308958a17_c.jpg

8) Also out the car window. Wife took the photo across me and out my open window. Applied just a little 'boost' in Picassa.

Great series. I really need to go there one day.

Really like #3. Maybe you could have cropped out some of the sky and some of the left side of the image.....

Some nice stuff there. Hard not to get a nice picture from that area.

I see they're starting to get snow in Banff and the foothills this week.
I wouldn't wait too long.

But then Banff in the winter - whole new story. Awesome times 2 if you have snow tires.

Thanks, and I see what you mean. Good suggestion.

Appreciate it, and I know the feeling. I'm still dreaming of breakfast at the Wild Flour and walking to the teahouse.

I'd go back tonight if I could find a way! It's on the edge, I think, but still workable. There's some snow, however. Even I drove into a white out heading up to Jasper.

Thanks, and how true. You can just about point the camera anywhere.

I live about 45 minutes away and only get there about once a year, really a pity.
Great shots

We have just come back from the same place! Drove from Calgary to Jasper over 5 days with overnight stops and then the Rocky Mountaineer to Vancouver - awesome place. Love the colours and reflections you have captured.

:) That's probably because the Park Service in Canada hides behind the trees looking to get tourist money. I've got a full year pass to the park, but not the $$ to fly back and enjoy it.

Appreciate the good words. My wife's been looking at real estate ever since we got back... Also, in case I miss it, PM me when you post your shots. To get some ideas, I searched this forum before my trip and didn't find many images of Banff.

Didn't think it would be right to not show any of the waterfalls or the wildflowers...

My wife and I visited Banff in mid-September a couple of years ago and I think that is one of the best times to be there. The weather was perfect and the crowds were small. Thank you for the photos, they brought back a lot of good memories.
