Just curious as to what backpack/bag you wildlife and birders use. I have the Sigma 150-600 paired with the 7dii and am trying to come up with a great pack for it along with my other gear, see below. I have been using either my Mystery Ranch Metcalf (hunting backpack) or my Deuter 6400 backpacking pack. None of these have padded compartments of course so it takes a bit of finesse to get them in without a lot of movement, i.e., towels, coats, etc.... Thanks in advance, Cole

Hey Cole, I have a lowepro aw 500, it will fit your cam and lens attached with the hood in shooting position. With that there is still room for 4 more lens and odds and ends. Have the 300 too but its too small to leave hood in shooting position, has to be reversed. The 500 is the best bag/ pack I've had.

Thanks Dave,
I ve looked at that and also the Whistler 450. I'll stop a Bozeman Camera this weekend on my way to MPPA in Glacier this weekend, and compare the two.

i've been using a lowepro flipside 15L http://www.bhphotovideo.com …lipside_Sport_15L_AW.html (external link)

i've been enjoying it, it's not a great bag for super quick access as you have to access it from the back, but it holds my 120-300sport with camera attached(larger than the 150-600C) and the hood reversed...and for me allows me to carry another couple lenses and a TC or two...also has a spot for tripod, and an area for a water reservoir

i also have a lowepro Pro Runner 450AW...but the thing is a beast...it's huge, great for taking everything i own and the kitchen sink...but if i'm just going to be doing birding/wildlife, i don't need that big of a bag

F-stop backpacks are a great option if you can afford them.

Use this ICU (Internal Camera Unit): http://shop.fstopgear.com …oduct/icu/xl-pro-icu.html (external link)

They list the compatible backpacks on the page.

Thanks all, I ended up going with the Lowepro Pro Trekker 300. My gear fits in it well, and carries well too. Again, thanks for all your help.
