Started a trial membership with ShootProof. Made a gallery and used my computer to test it as a client. Looked and worked fine. Later, client notified me that he could not download the digital files using his iPhone, but was able to using a computer. ShootProof confirmed that it was not possible to download the zipped digitals on the iPhone. Trying to find a solution for this that doesn't involve me having to send files to clients who have iPhones. Would there be an app that iphone users could get allowing them to receive and unzip files. Do other photo hosting sites like SmugMug have the same issue or even offer digital downloads.

I have Smugmug as well and they also send the entire gallery as a zipped file. You may want to give the client a code so that they can download individual images on their phone. When you download an individual file it's not compressed.

I don't have smugmug. I use ShootProof.
My client tried to download just a few individual photos using his iPhone, as did I. Neither of us could do so. What code are you referring to.

Are the images paid for already? If so you can use a PIN or even no PIN at all. It's under the settings.

THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. Please log in to see the good quality stuff.

Just check the require PIN and have them pay and then send them the code. Then when they click and hold (on Android) they can save the image.

How about just telling your clients that they will have to use a real computer to download the files? Why put the burden on yourself to change things, when you can just have the clients do things in a way that work?

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

Customer Service (external link)

Customer service is the provision of service to customers before, during and after a purchase. Accordingly, it may vary by product, service, industry and individual customer. The perception of success of such interactions is dependent on employees "who can adjust themselves to the personality of the guest". Customer service is also often referred to when describing the culture of the organization. It concerns the priority an organization assigns to customer service relative to components such as product innovation and pricing. In this sense, an organization that values good customer service may spend more money in training employees than the average organization, or may proactively interview customers for feedback.

From the point of view of an overall sales process engineering effort, customer service plays an important role in an organization's ability to generate income and revenue. From that perspective, customer service should be included as part of an overall approach to systematic improvement. One good customer service experience can change the entire perception a customer holds towards the organization.

Well, he ultimately had to do just that.
My main purpose for posting this was to find out if the same problem is true with similar services. I'm just beginning to sell and haven't really selected a service to host and deliver photos.

Have them pick favorites, and send them a phone app. Its a work a round. I have had the same issue. I direct my clients to use a desktop or I Pad. If they absolutely cant do that, Ill send them by email/cloud or send them a CD by snail mail. Most of the time, they find a way to get it done.

Why don't you take a picture, it will last longer....
