Maybe me more relevant to UK members, but, it is a worldwide thing ( Bryan Adams just got a fellowship for example ).

Are there any members on here, what are your thoughts? I've just joined, is the distinction route worth following? What do you gain most from your membership etc.

The recognition/distinctions, I thought it would be nice to be reviewed by my peers as to whether I'm any good or not, seems very professional and of a very high standard so far.

I am a member have been for years. I did attain my LRPS but have not bothered with going any further.
The RPS is a great resource and has many meetings etc which can be very useful as you learn.
