The G16 overall is a much better camera. I got the G15 at a very low price, it was too good to refuse. I have been thrilled with it and such a vast improvement on the G9 I had. The macro on it is so good I decided to sell my EF 100mm f2.8 L Macro lens. I purchased the G15 as a back-up camera but I found myself using it more so than I intended, in fact my wife loves it so much she has taken ownership of it. If you can afford the G16 then go for it, however the much cheaper G15 will not disappoint you.

I've never regretted it - it's great little camera.
