I was pleased with the way this turned out. B. K. is a high school student that I have gotten some images of in the past at school events. At Friday’s football game she was standing along the fence watching the game and asked if I would take of shot of their group. After I did that I said that I really liked the hood and asked if I could get one of just her. Here is the result. No setup involved, just my 7D ‘sports camera’ and a 580 flash.

Very nice shot. Her skin looks great - did you do anything in post or is that her natural look?

Some Canon stuff and a little bit of Yongnuo.

I removed one small blemish from her chin, but she has great skin.

The flash would have looked spot on if she had been back lighted.

Too much harsh light from the flash? Sure. But still a very nice shot and a good catch of how well the hood frames her face. A bit of shine reduction and some softening of the chin shadow could make it even better.
