I have had this lens for about a year or so (bought from fellow member here), used it occasionally when I not feeling like to hauling my much heavier f/2.8 one. Same sharpness and quickness of AF, never disappointed. One thing I noticed is that the motor sound of the IS on f/4.0 is louder than my f/2.8. After googling and confirming with other f/4.0 owners, I determined it's normal. I recently used a third party tripod ring on it for some quick video and just today while I was taking photos I noticed there are some black marks on the lens. Looks to me they are not paint chips, just some dirty marks. Everything else is in mint condition.
