This is probably a stupid question but, if a dust spot appears on the bottom portion of an image, where is the dust spot on the sensor itself?
Is it actually on the bottom of the sensor, or the top?

I've been trying to clean my camera sensor and after many attempts, I just about have it as clean as what I think I'm going to get it.
But, there is a speck of either dust or Pec Pad fabric that shows up at the middle bottom of the last set of test images that I want to remove.
I can't see where it's located on the sensor when looking at the sensor.

Just want to know what area of the sensor I should focus the swiping motion as my technique doesn't appear to be the best.

Hi there.

To my knowledge, when we have a dust spot on the bottom right corner of the picture, on the sensor it's on the top left corner and so on... :-)

Correct. Of course that it top left of the sensor as it is looking out through the lens - i.e. top right as you are looking at the sensor through the lens mount.

Basically if you are looking at the image and the sensor through the mount, you can just flip vertically. (edited on comment below)

Suspect you meant flip, not clip, Edward.

To answer the original question directly, bottom of the picture is top of the sensor, but left/right remain the same.
