Kestrels are one of my biggest local photographic frustrations. I see dozens of them every week, usually hovering over the roads when I am driving, but there's either nowhere to pull in or the bird would fly away as soon as I stop the car. Well, today there was this Kestrel, there was somewhere to park in close proximity, and there were some crows chasing it away, and somehow, as soon as I parked, the kestrel ended up right above me. It almost looked like the bird deliberately got close to the human, to stop the crows bothering it.
